The Program
The Go American English program provides English language training through a series of micro-scholarships, offered in collaboration with the Embassy of the United States in Spain, specifically designed for 2nd year Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) students eager to enhance their communication skills in English. Alongside language instruction, the program delves into American culture, traditions, and history.
These scholarships cover 100% of program costs and school supplies, with the additional option to apply for partial transportation assistance. Targeted towards students with strong academic records and family incomes below the average in the Community of Madrid, the program ensures accessibility to those in need.
Furthermore, participants can engage in supplementary activities throughout the course, including cultural excursions, sports workshops, entrepreneurship skills development, expert talks, and intensive sessions on community projects and human rights.
Mission
Provide access to comprehensive English language training for students in the 2nd year of ESO in the Community of Madrid, promoting equality through micro-grants and enriching the educational experience with complementary activities.
Objetives
To equip students with a robust English language proficiency alongside an understanding of American values and culture.
Expected Results
- 3 hours a week of English classes (Tuesday and Thursday afternoons)
- Books and course materials included
- Possibility of free public transportation
- Development activities such as theater, social entrepreneurship, and community service projects. Talks with experts and a wide variety of other activities.
- Intensive summer learning activities.
